Revolutionary Cylinder Drive
SkyJet wide format solvent printers use a revolutionary patented Cylinder Drive system allowing trouble-free feeding of an unprecedented range of medias. Instead of stretching the media between pinch rollers and dragging it across a fixed surface, the media and platen roller move together below the printhead. This enables the use of less rigid medias such as many textiles previously unusable in wide format printers.
The Cylinder Drive system also allows the closest print head tolerance of any wide format solvent printer on the market today: 2.5mm! This adds significantly to the perceived quality of printed output.
This unique drive/feed mechanism allows printing within two inches of the leading media edge saving a tremendous amount of otherwise wasted media.
Double sided printing is made easy using the the photoelectric sensing unit which automatically detects media feed and alignment. Cylinder Drive ensures accurate front/back alignment without vertical error.
